There is no reasonable way that ‘mishkav zachar’ can be twisted to mean pedophilia. It’s possible that Greeks and Latins who translated that Hebrew into their languages didn’t like it’s real meaning.
But it doesn’t explain why pederasty was considered acceptable while homosexuality by two adults was not. Still pretty much that way in Islam.
I don’t know Greek or Hebrew but I do know that when I was on Diocesan Council in San Francisco and the gay Episcopal priest’s wanted to add a marriage ceremony to the Book of Common Prayer for their use, the argument year after year is that God never condemned homosexuality, only pedophilia.
I left the Episcopal church but I know they’ve managed to ruin that church by convincing it to condone their active sin.
