“These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren” (Proverbs 6:16-19 KJV).
Strange this verse is stuck in there right after the description of the Antichrist, and it starts out by saying, “These six things doth the Lord hate,” that’s an interesting statement: “God hates.” What does God hate?
God hates sins. “The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity” (Psalms 5:5 KJV). This verse says that God hates sinners. But wait! People will tell us, “Doesn’t the Bible say that “God so loved the world?” He does. If He didn’t love the world, we would all be on our way to hell. Nevertheless, Psalm 5:5 says that God hates “all workers of iniquity.” There is only one way that that worker of iniquity will ever experience the love of God, and that is if that worker of iniquity sees himself as the wicked man that he is and turns from his wickedness, falling upon the mercy of God, and then God’s wrath turns to love. When wicked man repents, then God repents—but not a moment before.
As much as we like to think that God loves sinners, He doesn’t. The only kind of sinner that God loves is one that turns to Him. He called to the sinner, “Come now and reason with Me.” If a man won’t be reasonable—God hates him. God will judge those He hates. God hates sins, and God hates sinners. “He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy” (Proverbs 29:1 KJV).
God won’t waste five minutes on a man that will not listen to Him. That man is “condemned already” (John 3:18).
Let’s read a chapter of Proverbs a day and see what God might have for us. As the Lord leads, share with us what God has shown you in a special way and by His grace let us build up a devotional repository. Let’s keep our knives and forks handy for some daily bread!

I think John 3:16 easily proves that wrong.

Not at all. I’ll double-checked the ping list and you are still on it.
My thought is that God is going to mock at and laugh at the lost when they are at last thrown into the lake of fire, and that is not something that love does. But sometimes I don’t always even agree with myself on some thing.
