Wrote the following on Sunday’s vigil thread, but my prayers remain mostly the same with some additions:

Praying for God to grant the peace that surpasses all understanding to those directly impacted by the events in Texas over the weekend, and wherever there were acts of such violence be it Chicago or elsewhere in our nation. And even warzones like Syria and Afghanistan. Praying that the grip of the enemy over such territories be loosened and demonic activity dissipate. - Pleading the blood of Jesus over our nation and every public space especially schools where children are.

Praying for Vice President Pence, along with the leaders and people of Europe as they observe the 80th anniversary of the start of World War II. That those still living and generations yet to come will come to learn the lessons of the war, that each country understand its place in history — however complex. And above all, that people will come to see God in the conflict, and the rejection of God as the true source of all evil be it Nazism or Communism. - That the memory of those who perished or gave the ultimate sacrifice in the name of freedom take precedent in the hearts of more people especially young Americans.

Praying for President Trump to be given WISDOM from the Heavenly Father about all the contentious issues of the day especially with regard to gun laws, foreign policy, and immigration . That Trump follow the Spirit in all he does even when met with backlash by friend and foe alike.

And finally praying for all in Hurricane Dorian’s path and all who are watching the storm unfold to draw nearer to the God of nature.
