It used to be the Catholics who picked the parts of Catholicism that they wanted to follow were called cafeteria Catholics. Now we have cafeteria clergy just great why bother with a church if it doesn’t matter what you do or why you do it and everybody has their own idea of what it means to be a Catholic I give up

Last year I had a big argument with my younger sister - a member of her church choir, and long-time Catholic school employee - about her "fake Catholicism."
Since then, I've come to see that in many Catholic parishes in the Seattle area - and nationwide - what I called "fake Catholicism" is now the norm.
