Jesuit superior general wants Church to continue on current trajectory
VATICAN CITY (ChurchMilitant.com) - The head of the Jesuits, who recently denied the existence of the devil as a person, thinks there is a plan that originated in the United States to force Pope Francis to resign.
Father Arturo Sosa Abascal, the current superior general of the Society of Jesus, recently said in a speech that forces inside and outside the Vatican are trying to force Pope Francis to resign so that a new pope can move the Church in a different direction:
There are people inside and outside the Church who would like Pope Francis to resign, but the pontiff will not. I believe that the final strategy of these sectors is not so much to "force" Pope Francis to resign, as to affect the election of the next pontiff, creating the conditions [necessary for] the next Pope to discontinue deepening the path that Francis has indicated and undertaken.
Sosa, who comes from Argentina and is friends with Francis, a fellow Jesuit, does not think the Pope will resign.
He also clarified that he is in favor of the direction Francis has taken and that it is important the Church continue in that direction: "It is essential that this journey continue according to the will of the Church expressed clearly at the Second Vatican Council, of which Pope Francis is a legitimate and direct son."
Sosa seemed to blame President Donald Trump and the United States for this plan to oust Pope Francis and establish a more conservative papacy.

Bunch of hand-waving, if you ask me.
This demonstrates conclusively that even Catholics like myself ,can no longer deny the Catholic Church is an enemy of the American people.
Even if there were a plan that would get Francis to resign, if his cardinals are recognized, we are likely to get the same or worse. I am hopeful that the Holy Ghost is just getting ready to show off after men have gotten the Church in an odious position, but I don’t know if it will be in my lifetime.
True, but I believe it indicates two things:
1. The heretics are getting worried about Bergoglio's tenure and reputation.
2. It's a distraction from Francis' upcoming Amazon Sin-Nod.
“the Second Vatican Council, of which Pope Francis is a legitimate and direct son.”
But the Second Vatican Council wasn’t legitimate. So what does that make Frank?
If the present direction continues, why even have a church? Sell off the buildings, cathedrals and museums and tell the Swiss Guard to go home.
Well who in their right mind would even think of putting a communist Pope like Francis anyway? Sheesh. Is there no one thinking in the Catholic church?
I am a practicing Catholic who appreciates my parish and pastor. But I have recognized that the United States has few friends among the hierarchy of the Catholic Church. Calling them enemies is no exaggeration.
True. I’m in a wait-and-see mode.
Well, that would be only just, since it would help undo the damage the U.S. State Department and CIA did to the Papacy during the Cold War, such as: Declassified: State Department Document Reveals Plan by United States Government to Stop Election of Traditionalist Pope in the 1958 Conclave!
My parents go to a small Catholic church in the Texas Hill Country and has the same view. The pastor happens to agree with them.
Thank God for the Reformation
There is this book, written by a guy who knows even more about religion than the pope. In one of the chapters, I think called “revelations” He says that Satan will use globalism to enslave humanity.
The pope keeps railing on the dangers of “nationalism.” But it seems to me that it will be God fearing nations that end up fighting Satan’s globalist armies.
So, just asking.... which side of this war does the pope support?
Oh goodie...two resigned “popes”. If they live long enough maybe they’ll be three at the same time. ::rolls eyes::
Francis is a Communist.
Does "Communist" Francis's only Book demonstrate he "Favors... [Marxist] Cuban Dictatorship...
