Wikipedia:
According to John 21:11
"Simon Peter climbed back into the boat and dragged the net ashore. It was full of 153 large fish, but even with so many the net was not torn".
This has become known popularly as the "153 fish" miracle. In the Gospel of John,[5] seven of the disciplesPeter, Thomas, Nathanael, the sons of Zebedee (James and John), and two others decided to go fishing one evening after the Resurrection of Jesus, but caught nothing that night. Early the next morning, Jesus (whom they had not recognised) called out to them from the shore:
"Friends, haven't you any fish?"[5]
When they reply in the negative (the question in Greek uses a particle which expects the answer "No"),[10][11] Jesus responds: "Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some".[5] After doing so, "they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish".[5]

The precision of the number of fish as 153 has long been considered, and various writers have argued that the number 153 has some deeper significance, with many conflicting theories having been offered (see the discussion on the number 153 in the Bible). Discussing some of these theories, theologian D. A. Carson suggests that "If the Evangelist has some symbolism in mind connected with the number 153, he has hidden it well,"[14] while other scholars note "No symbolic significance for the number of 153 fish in John 21:11 has received widespread support".[15]
He has hidden it well, in the simple meaning:
A great (big, large) miracle happened there, "Nes Gadol Haya Sham."
נס גדול היה שם
Big miracle: "nes gadol" = 153
Nes Gadol Haya Sham is the famous Chanukah phrase for the miracle of the oil (light) in the Temple that kept on burning and burning. Also, the acronym letters on the dreidel add up to 358, "Mashiach."
Seven [דג dag, "fish" = 7] of the disciples has decided to go fishing, but they were fishing on the port side of the boat:
Since port and starboard never change, they are unambiguous references that are independent of a mariners orientation, and, thus, mariners use these nautical terms instead of left and right to avoid confusion. When looking forward, toward the bow of a ship, port and starboard refer to the left and right sides, respectively.
In the early days of boating, before ships had rudders on their centerlines, boats were controlled using a steering oar. Most sailors were right handed, so the steering oar was placed over or through the right side of the stern. Sailors began calling the right side the steering side, which soon became "starboard" by combining two Old English words: stéor (meaning "steer") and bord (meaning "the side of a boat").
As the size of boats grew, so did the steering oar, making it much easier to tie a boat up to a dock on the side opposite the oar. This side became known as larboard, or "the loading side." Over time, larboardtoo easily confused with starboardwas replaced with port. After all, this was the side that faced the port, allowing supplies to be ported aboard by porters.

There was no great miracle involved in loading up from the port side. The miracle came from the "oar" side, the side of the steering oar (ohr, light). Just like right verses left, R or L. the "R" (oar) side. And the letter resh [ר] (which is the Hebrew equivalent of the R) = 200.
John 21
8 And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits) dragging the net with fishes.
9 As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.
10 Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.
11 Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.
Nes gadol, the great miracle of "153" is the simple meaning.
Nes gadol [נס גדול] permutes to
1. [דוג לנס] Fish for a miracle! (imperative to a man, singular)
2. [דגו לנס] [They] fished for a miracle.

Whereas the Messiah really knows how to fish, so he's got all the good (useful, sensible, workable) tips. The comparison is like night verses day.
153 is the sum of the numbers 1-17, and 17 is the value of the word tov [טוב], "good". "Good" is first found in the Bible in Gen 1:4. It's the description of the first light, the "ohr".
ohr [אור] =
7 [או]
+ 200 [ר]
Jesus responds: "Throw your net on the ohr side of the boat and you will find some."
fisherman [דייג]
It's a word play on the third day: "day [דיי] of 3 [ג]", the third day.
That's because "the third day" (Tuesday) in Hebrew is written in that format. Yom [day, יום] gimel [ג]:
'יום ג
The fisherman in the context of the 153 fish miracle, is the disciple who goes fishing after Jesus rose from the dead on the third day, following the simple instruction to drop his net on the right side of the boat.
"Nes Gadol Haya Sham" = 513, the same numerals as in 153.
513 is the sum of the first 5 letters of the Torah, for example. Back to the beginning, literally.

miracle, banner, flag, ensign, standard, streamer, pennant, marvel, wonder
Gefilte fish?
how about 153 is a stand in for the number of nations that exist.
Gefilte fish are poached fish cakes, traditionally made from carp, iirc.
And topped with a carrot round, I believe.
I'm more of a fried crab cake kind of guy, or stuffed clams.
Or Oysters Rockefeller/Kilpatrick...
That’s not what Q said.
Q said Podesta and his 14 fish dug tunnels under some pizza place.
The fish that get filled.
But you know how it goes with gefilte fish. People would rather starve.
Thanks for adding that.
The Messiah could be fishing on the lake dressed to the nines in Cabela's wear (World's Foremost Outfitters), loading up his boat with trout, yet no one would recognize much less receive him, even as the fisherman who are following his advice are hauling in their biggest catches evah.
Cabela's, Kabbalah, who catches (receives) the puns.
I mentioned trout because the word in Hebrew (seen right here on the first line of the Hebrew wiki page) is שֶׁמֶךְ. Same spelling as שמך, "your name."
It's just like your screen name:
"One man s struggle to take it easy."
God's a movie buff. Comedy genre mostly, but not exclusively.
[screen name]
One I chose rather haphazardly.
I had just seen the band perform the remake of “Come On Eileen” the night before, as I recall, on TV. An admittedly secular song. I guess I had never paid attention to the words so much when Dixie’s Midnight Runners did it. I just thought it was catchy.

And it sums to "the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six."
6+6+6 = 18, 1+8 = 9
Likewise; 1+5+3 = 9
It is the number of digits of the number the beast [government] assigned you (i.e., the number of a man), your SSN.
Kinda fitting, really; the netting of the fish representing the netting of men.

Other occurrences which lead back to 9, in the Bible; 666 is the number of talents of gold Solomon collected each year (1 Kings 10:14 and 2 Chronicles 9:13), 666 is the number of Adonikam's descendants who return to Jerusalem and Judah from the Babylonian exile (Ezra 2:13).
Similar meaning...
Rev. 14:15 Another angel came out of the sanctuary, crying out in a loud voice to the One who was seated on the cloud, Use your sickle and reap, for the time to reap has come, since the harvest of the earth is ripe. 16 So the One seated on the cloud swung His sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested.
Well it is a "social security" number, as in safety in numbers, safety in established wisdom, consensus. Peace and safety in popular teachings, theories, settled doctrines, institutionalized jumping to conclusions because everybody does it, and so forth.
The Gregorian calendar I presume. And is there any proof, like maybe a birth certificate?!
I'd be interested to know where it falls on the agriculturally corrected Hebrew Calendar. :)
Shabbat Shalom!
And without it...
[ I’d be interested to know where it falls on the agriculturally corrected Hebrew Calendar. :) ]
Yes, and since it wasn’t a leap year...
I hope it wasn’t the 9th of Av...
Oh, looks like that would have been
Saturday, July 22, 9th of Av, 5721
Missed it by 13 days.
Certainly nothing of God then, as the Pasch Lamb and Lamb of God were both sacrificed during leap years.
13 days, huh!
It becomes evident who knows how to fly, and who doesn't.
Lockstep über alles.
The real Jesus of the Bible is the anti-establishment Can-Do man showing everyone the way up and out of the death spiral paradigm.
Very true. We keep missing the 'boat', however; A Holy kingdom on this rock, one way or another.
His will be done...

Have to go, but 'tis an enjoyable post and a good opportunity to fellowship.
Have a nice evening.
