“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.”

If it has errors, it ain’t Scripture.

According to Paul in his letter to the Romans, if it wasn’t given to Judah in his native tongue, it ain’t scripture.

Translations are representations of scripture, but they are not necessarily scripture.

So true! It never ceases to amaze me how some people imagine they can tell God what He has or has not inspired/breathed out! His word is PURE, RIGHT, PERFECT and SURE. In fact, He gave His people a way to know whether or not someone was a true prophet sent by Him and He held them accountable for what His prophets spoke. Holy men of God spoke as they were moved by/carried along by the Holy Spirit.

The curious thing I see so often here on this topic is the defending of the Deuterocanonical (second canon)/Apocryhal books and the insisting that they ARE divinely inspired. Like you stated, these books have scores of reasons for why they are NOT Holy Scripture and we have posted them repeatedly over the years - things like historical and geographical mistakes, unknown authorship, unknown timeframes, writers who even state there WERE NO prophets in the land and they are only speaking what they think or heard, etc.. But, yet again we have their defenders who seem oblivious to all those problems. I DO know why they are doing so. It's because their church pronounced them as such in spite of those glaring errors and they cannot go against them. Pretty sad reason, I think. I'll stick with what I know is God's word because it is what will never fail. They can keep their dubious literature!

For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)
