[[By all the measurements that I have for defining a Christian, I am not a Christian. Then you were never a Christian from the beginning]]
Exactly- there is only one measure- whether a person accepted Christ as Savior or not- period- IF he can’t ‘measure’ that criteria in his own life, then he was never a Christian to begin with
Looks like he might be a homo...
When will she announce she’s changing her name to Jessyca?
Are you sure it's not guys he's looking to date?
Looking at his picture, that sounds about right. Also, if he followed those rules in his youth, him coming out would explain a lot because he wasn’t all that interested in women.
It seems fairly obvious to me that the search for the perfect “soulmate” would likely be an excuse to divorce the imperfect person that most people are married to, and which we ourselves are.
I believe the person you marry becomes that right one.
Love is a choice both must make.
He reminded too much me of Bill Gothard: definitely legalistic and possibly heretical.
The institutionalized church nowadays fails to promote sanctification, but his is not the way.
My first thought too
Omg
Nowadays, of course, the question would be if his theological issue was a man or a woman...
Thanks for sharing this story.
Apostate hogwash
Regards,
Not so sure but it seems arranged marriages work fairly well.
Rom 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
Rom 7:15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
Rom 7:16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
Rom 7:17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Rom 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
Rom 7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
Rom 7:20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Rom 7:21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
Rom 7:22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
Rom 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
Rom 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
Rom 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
I pray that he will find Jesus again before his soul is required. Attaching himself to worldly pursuits and a public renouncing his faith are roads to disaster.
There is a difference between back sliding and renouncing Christ. Once you’ve tasted the Holy Spirit and quit, there remains no sacrifice for sin.
Never read the book because I have very little confidence in Christians who get rich off the Gospel, so we didnt know that perfect marriage was being taught as the prize for purity. Why wasnt that alarming to the readers 20 years ago? But we did teach our children to save their first kiss for their beloved and that when two become one flesh nothing should separate them. We also taught them that God has a different understanding of marriage than man does, and Gods understanding doesnt seem to include state approved marriage licenses and $30,000 ceremonies.
Another example of somebody whose faith was a mile wide...and an inch deep.
