One of the largest persecutions of Christians in world history is taking place right now and he is talking about weather predictions?
Queen x Bishop
How ‘bout they start focusing on ending the rape of teenage boys and young men by perv priests, instead of this hoax called “Climate Change?”
How long has it been since Jesus was the central priority for the Catholic Church?
I assume He is still the priority for many Catholics but they don’t make the news like the apostate Church and its ‘leadership” does...
AOC’s chief of staff admitted the Green New Deal had nothing to do with the environment but everything to do with imposing socialism. How about the Church’s getting back to preaching Jesus Christ and him crucified?
Don’t these religious leaders, if they really are that in fact, have any real issues to deal with? I don’t understand why this phony anthropomorphic climate change issue has anything to do with their real mission on earth.
If you don’t have faith that God is in control of the climate, do you really have faith?
But there was this story today whereby a different Bishop makes a very pious recommendation (effectively recommending a return to saying the Mass facing the east/with his back to the congregation, the way is was prior to the 1960s).
While this may be inside Catholic baseball type of stuff, the reality is the Church is a bit like America insofar as the leadership and the institution are not one in the same. That is, the American system of government wasn't defective when the defective Obama was the Head of the Executive Branch, or when some bureaucrat says something looney. In turn, when the Pope or a Bishop says stupid things, that doesn't mean the Church is defective.
On the taxation question, you have to take that up with the Founders. In the United States, the Establishment Clause of the US Constitution prevents the US federal government and (through incorporation doctrine) the 50 state governments from imposing church taxes. In 1947, the US Supreme Court ruled in Everson v. Board of Education that "No tax in any amount, large or small, can be levied to support any religious activities or institutions, whatever they may be called, or whatever form they may adopt to teach or practice religion."
