Respectfully speaking the truth about Mary is not dissing her. Making a goddess of her is more demeaning of Mary than people recognizing her more limited role without exaggeration as spelled out in Scripture.

If people claim my mother was the 1963 American League Most Valuable Player, why would I be upset that someone else corrects them?
The real problem is that Catholics understand the relationship between Mary and Jesus, so for the protestants, its gotta be wrong!
Protestants don't have a problem agreeing with Catholics when it aligns with Scripture (for example, the Trinity). Evangelicals do not stand with Catholics when their speculations wander far from Scripture as much of mariology does.
I guess you didn’t read the part about “Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. It’s just a verse to be ignored, like “this is my body”
