Are we supposed to be opposed to God then?
Yes. "Allowing" means there is a purpose. Sometimes you have to stop bailing someone out and let them face the consequences of their actions, or allow them to be tested by challenges, but you would rather have them oppose what is detrimental.
Churches that engage in silence or degrees of compromising accommodation of the LGBTQ movement, hoping to avoid their wrath need to face the fact that it will accept nothing by full affirmation and acceptance of its agenda.
Meanwhile, the would-be remnant needs to be tested to confirm its character and and strengthen it.
And the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel; and he said, Because that this people hath transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not hearkened unto my voice; I also will not henceforth drive out any from before them of the nations which Joshua left when he died: That through them I may prove Israel, whether they will keep the way of the Lord to walk therein, as their fathers did keep it, or not. (Judges 2:20-22)
