I have to assume that the Church is having such a resurgence in young people entering the religious vocations that they can easily afford to release these nuns from their vows.

All of these pleas from diocese for support for vocations drives is just for show.

The Church has survived 2000 years with all kinds of Popes...I hope we get another Benedict next time.

There probably won’t be a next time. Popes don’t retire? The whole Benedict thing smells. Don’t know who was behind it or how it was done, but I’ll guarantee you there was duress and threats of some kind. We can guess the why by looking at Francis’s actions.
