FULL TITLE: Wild eyed televangelist Kenneth Copeland appears unhinged in interview where he defends his $760million fortune and says he needs to use THREE private jets because 'demonic environment on commercial flights are not good for a preacher'

Televangelist Kenneth Copeland has appeared in a bizarre interview where he defends using three private jets to travel the world after previously claiming he didn't want to fly commercial with 'demons'.

The 82-year-old's chat with Inside Edition features him angrily pointing and staring the interviewer in one of the instances where he flares up after being confronted about his lavish lifestyle.

But at other moments Copeland has a cheerful demeanor and deflects questions by complimenting her on her eyes, praying for her, and even kissing her hand.

Lisa Guerrero caught up with Copeland – estimated to be worth $760million in October 2018 – after he last year purchased a $3million Gulfstream V private jet from producer and actor Tyler Perry.

piusv, Christ gave the church one mission.

It is found in Matthew 28:18-20.

Churches are to carry out that mission, not hoard wealth.

Yes, an organization needs operating expenses set aside.

Above that, money should be I invested in the great commission.

Best

“Private jets are a tremendous waste of money to any organization.

Depends on their mission.

IMO, the other passengers need to be protected.

Perhaps it’s better that he fly private after all.

For them.

I watched that reprehensible clip where he’s defending the use of his private jet and makes the tube full of demons comment.

Kenneth Copeland, Jesse Duplantis, defending their private jets

His tube full of demons remark is at the 3:00 minute mark.

Ken Copeland has had an odd demeanor for a long time. Seeing him on television years ago always made me wonder if he was on medication or if he was all there mentally. He is or was a licensed pilot, though.

I have no problem with the prosperity verses which are in the Bible, but I will give to more responsible and balanced ministries which are not paying for private jets, the most expensive cars and other lavish toys.

’ Looking at the man, Jesus felt genuine love for him. “There is still one thing you haven’t done,” he told him. “Go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

22 At this the man’s face fell, and he went away sad, for he had many possessions.’

Sounds like Copeland’s viewers have heard the word. They give. But with $760 million in the bank, doesn’t sound like Copeland practices what he preaches. Have a good day (I mean that).

Late 90’s Gulfstream V’s are going for around $10 to $12 Million.

I’ll have to check my Lotto Tickets to see if I’m in the market for one.

No, but He did tell the apostles when they rebuked Mary that we will always have the poor. I don't know the history of the paintings and vessels, but I suspect that they were gifts to God's Church. As gifts to God's Church, the "Vatican" has every right (and obligation) to keep them.

Of course, my issue is that those in "the Vatican" these days don't have the authority of the Catholic Church.

I saw that interview and he’s one creepy disjointed character. Prosperity Preachers will always distract from and justify the great display of their wealth. But this was just plain madness! His scripture quotes and the really weird smiling was truly creepy.

I watched....that display was not "Godly Patience"....it was diversions and wrongful use of scripture. ...and his facial features as he spoke were about the creepiest you can get! Then telling the gall he loved her eyes and the phony prayer...kissing her hand...it was a disgusting display.

He's has twisted the Word in so many ways throughout his so called ministry that he's become deaf and blind; he neither hears or sees himself. 'IF' God ever spoke to, or through, Copeland, that stopped decades ago.

it all depends on who you put your faith in. People, since time began, idolize who/what is in front of them, rather than keeping the first commandment of worshiping God alone.

God is Faithful and True to keep His promises. If you sent the money in true faith that God would use it for His kingdom, then HE and He alone is the master Accountant and will bless you as HE sees fit. Not always monetarily - could be job, health, relationships - He knows what you need AND desire (according to His will).

If we trust in Man, Man will fail most of the time.

Also, if you give in a manner to receive accolades of men, then Jesus clearly explained THAT is your reward - hollow and short-sighted and unfruitful.

they have a right to keep them. whether it is pleasing to the Lord is another matter. I fail to see how hoarding piles of wealth benefits the Kingdom. i would not want to have to try to explain that on Judgement day but ymmv.

Says he needs to use THREE private jets because 'demonic environment" on commercial flights are not good for a preacher..... also a risk he may lose his luggage was a concern.

He couldn't contain himself by finally holding on to her hand, (after saying he liked her eyes)... and then quickly kissed it!!!

Funny. It was so very long ago, I really don’t remember. It was the only thing on TV at 4 a.m. about 28 years ago, and I could barely keep an eye open. Just happy at the time to have someone shouting to keep me awake with my sick cat.

Should. have prayed for the cat, because he died soon after. He was 18 and had Catzheimers.

To expose the charlatan that he is and to attain his side of the complaints against him. That's what reporters do.

The Catholic church is always the most opulent one in town.

Compare an urban Catholic church in the South -- usually almost falling apart -- to a suburban evangelical megachurch -- as much opulent shopping mall and music venue as church, and you'll play a different tune.
