Some people think that the answer to a reformed Islam is as simple as interpretation. Good luck with that.

Good video.

Stephen Coughlin has wisely pointed out that we do not need to let ourselves be drawn into debates about what is the real Islam, which in the video is characterized as a form of denial instead all we have to do is show that Muslims teach other Muslims from the books that are easily available from their Mosque bookstores.

The books that, for instance, the Fort Hood shooter referenced before he became a jihadi were not some fringe scribblings but the very best books with the very highest zing of official and scholarly blessing.

There does not seem any room for alternate interpretation of the Koran or of the Hadiths or the biography. Reform requires a new Koran or a severely Bowdlerized Koran and that ain’t gonna fly.

Nothing can bring “Islam” into the 21st century.

Reformation has to come like the US subjugation and occupation of Japan. It requires nothing less. Hell, the Catholics still resent the Reformation.

There is no amount of tinkering around with a profound evil that would ever make it benign...
