LOL!

It’s been a long time since I’ve enjoyed seeing such a provincial mind attempting to present the persona of a great wit.

Genesis 4:

8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.

9 And the Lord said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper?

10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground.

11 And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother’s blood from thy hand;

12 When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.

13 And Cain said unto the Lord, My punishment is greater than I can bear.

14 Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.

15 And the Lord said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the Lord set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.

Ham’s wife Japeth was a decendent of Cain:

Genesis 9:

20 And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard:

21 And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.

22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.

23 And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father’s nakedness.

24 And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.

25 And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.

26 And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.

27 God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.

28 And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years.

29 And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years: and he died.

Thanks.

My point is simple.
Nothing you said.
Not the misspelling of a name, nor specifying a division of Kabbalah, changes the point of the post.

Pointing it out though, is pinhead stuff.

So there’s that.

No, as a matter of fact, I went on a two-year mission, I graduated from BYU taking at least one religion class every semester .... and I have been to at least 95% of my church meetings throughout my life.

I’ve got a pretty good handle on LDS doctrine. While there is sometimes theory/speculation it is not doctrine.

You however, appear to have been listening to the equivalent of CNNs Trump-Russia Collusion Hoax on the LDS religion.

It is a slippery slope to say that one man’s Christ is not the same Son of God as another man. I think it is shameful and bigoted .

No, it's discernment.

SCRIPTURE tells us who Jesus is, the ONLY begotten of the Father, virgin born, God Incarnate, God with Us.

The Jesus Mormons believe in according to their own teachings is a created being, the half-brother of Satan.

That is NOT the same Jesus and it barely takes a basic level of literacy to come to that conclusion.

What Christ do they believe in?? The one in the Bible. It is a slippery slope to say that one man’s Christ is not the same Son of God as another man. I think it is shameful and bigoted .

Not so. Perhaps you are unaware of what mormonism teaches... Teaching what Scripture presents is not bigotry, or Christ and the Apostles wer bigots.

Mormon Jesus:

Christ was a created spirit being, resulting from sex between God the Father and Mary
Came to earth as an ordinary man (and not God)
Didn’t have an infinite life to lay down for anyone (since he was simply a man)
Couldn’t therefore be a Savior to anyone
Worked his way up to mormon godhood, to join the billions of other gods in the mormon pantheon of gods

.........

Jesus Christ revealed in Scripture:

Never created or made
God from eternity to eternity
Came to earth, never losing his eternal Godhood
Had an infinite, perfect, sinless life on earth
Laid down His perfect, infinite life to pay for the sins of mankind
Is Savior, therefore, to all who place faith in His Gracious Gift (the gospel)
Ascended back to heaven after rising from the dead and sits at the right hand of God the Father

And yet, you are unable to answer the questions I asked about your beliefs.

More specifically, what does Mormonism teach the mark that God put on Cain as the curse was?

My ‘there’ is that I’m not going to argue with the great many brilliant Rabbis and scholars of Jewish mysticism who have found value and importance in Kabbalah - over centuries!

If it’s not your cup of tea, that’s fine. But it has been inspiring and meaningful to many far greater minds than yours or mine; and it is much greater than ‘the Centre’, with which your initial post regarding ‘Kabbalah’ seemed to want to identify all of Jewish mystical thought.

That’s all.

The reason why I’m talking about the Creeds ... is I think they are non-biblical.

I want to see if you can substantiate your faith by scripture instead of just trying to denigrate/tear down other peoples faith.

Joseph Smith said that Jesus Christ said that the Creeds of Christianity were an ‘Abomination to Him’.

If Joseph Smith was a fraud it should be easy to prove why the Nicene/Apostolic/Athenasian Creeds are biblical!!!

Put your money where your mouth is!

Prove your religion instead of just tearing down anothers!

If you can’t ..... officially .... you are a HYPOCRITE!

If you understand the difference between that and the Kabbalah Center and its leader, then you understand the point of my post.

My initial post was factually unclear. Mea Culpa. I did correct it when you pointed it out.

The missing "l", well, it happens.

Joseph Smith was a total fraud and horndog, dying for stealing the wives of others.

Lifetime history of scamming others.

That is indisputable, if you believe sworn court testimony.

It has nothing to do with creeds. That's your thing.

Still waiting for your answer to what you believe...

Choose your accusations wisely: " I just don’t understand this hatred."

You have been told there is no hatred for the people trapped in mormonism. You apparently don't like that response so you continue to make a false accusation.

Lorenzo Snow, when head of the Mormon religion, stated that as we are now, God once was; as God is now we can be. THAT is false Christianity and borders on blasphemy. As a Christian I am compelled to oppose that, vigorously. YMMV for if not a Christian such false religion does not offend you when posed as if Christianity.

The number of years that you have been LDS has nothing to do with whether or not it is genuine Christianity and what it claims to be. The very fact that you even try to defend the Church online just proves that you are a victim of fake religious news. Your posting of mine reminds me of a comment that a friend of mine named “Fred” [not his real name] made at a lunch we had over 17 years ago.

He was a former full-time Mission President of the LDS Church who had his testimony of Mormonism shaken to its core several months after he became a Mission President. One of the top leaders had tried to get him to prevent one of his missionaries from talking to his parents about a cover up the Church had done about child sex abuse several years earlier. My friend disobeyed, missionary talked to parents who called police and a child sex abuser got prosecuted/convicted. So what did this high ranking leader do? He tried to get the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles to excommunicate my friend. This high ranking leader had committed a Felony. He tried to get my friend to commit a Felony. Obstruction of Justice is a nasty crime. And my friend would’ve been excommunicated if it wasn’t for the grandfather of the current USA ambassador to Russia who at the time was still alive and in this Quorum.

My friend soon became an unbeliever and this was devastating for him. He got himself released and eventually navigated his life in a good direction. Several years later I heard in the news that the man that the Church sent in to take his place as Mission President was put into this Quorum of the Twelve. I frankly feel sorry for them, even though they get treated like a rock star, because their chance at real integrity is greatly compromised by how caught up they are in their position.

I know of many other examples where the LDS religion has been corrupt. Well when did the corruption start? Pretty much from the beginning as the Book of Mormon is so obviously fiction. I’m not going to get into a debate with you about this. That’s pointless as you will only dig yourself in deeper. I’ll just leave you one big example of a problem you have with credibility if you continue to try to defend the religion.

WHERE ARE ANY OF THE LITERAL DESCENDANTS OF FATHER LEHI?

Their non-existence speaks volumes to why the Mormons have lost the debate.

That's rich, a cult member calling a Christian a hypocrite.

Was the god of Mormonism a man who had to earn godhood? Answer honestly according to the dogma of your religion.
