This is true and is the danger in accepting their funds. That said, I think there would be a huge outcry if much deviation is planned.
Agreed, the rebuild should be unapologetically Christian/Catholic.
Said another way, if it were the grand mosque of Paris that had burned down, would we be having any discussions of a rebuild that was more “secular”?
