The last liturgy celebrated in Notre Dame before the fire struck. Vespers for Monday of Holy Week. Watch, enjoy, and cry a little. :`(

The Novus Ordo altar looks like a beaten up packing crate. Ugly and completely incongruous in those surroundings.

Where are the cathedral canons whose job it is to celebrate Vespers?

On the second day of Holy Week... the most iconic Christian church goes up in flames... in a country that had over 1000 churches attacked in 2018... in a country smaller than Texas... and it was instantly called an "accident", despite the fact most arson investigations take weeks to conclude... and it was blamed on the renovation crew, despite the fact that they clocked out at 530pm and the first alarm went off at 620pm, and the second at 645pm...

Imagine if 1000 gay discos were attacked in one year just in Texas... or 1000 abortion clinics... or 1000 mosques... or 1000 black churches... just in one year, just in Texas... and then the most iconic one of those was attacked at the beginning of the most meaningful week to those groups... what would the instant reactions be then?
