Religious faith in America is going the way of the Yellow Pages and travel maps, we keep hearing. Its just a matter of time until Christianitys total and happy extinction, chortle our cultural elites. Is this true? Is churchgoing and religious adherence really in widespread decline so much so that conservative believers should suffer growing anxiety?

You have discovered a Presbyterian in me. We do believe that the set up for the church government is outlined in scripture.
Basically we see how individual churches with some autonomy,
Government by church elders. Then a second level of jurisdiction and appeal at the presbytery level. Then a third and final level of jirsdoxrion and appeal at the national level. All subject to scripture and subordinately a confession. Each nation would ideally have one faithful biblical church.
Other Presbyterians can weigh in but thats how I understand it.
It's sad to say but it appears that Democrats would like nothing better than for it to be true. However, genuine Christianity will never grow extinct. Numbers mean little since Jesus already warned, Go in through the narrow gate, because the gate is wide and the road is spacious that leads to destruction, and many people are entering by it. How narrow is the gate and how constricted is the road that leads to life, and there arent many people who find it! (Matt. 7:13,14) Jesus is THE way, THE truth and THE life and no one comes to the Father but by Him!
God will kill off any “church” that embraces homosexuality and immorality. Read Revelation.
There are 2 threats out there. The first is the Equality Bill, whose real purpose is to criminalize Christianity. The second is if we elect another homosexual president. Buttigieg will make all sorts of pious statements about what a good Christian he is while sending real Christians to the concentration camps.
Agreed, no such church will be sustained.
