Russian state deputies have again raised the issue of renaming Sverdlovsk Province, which is currently named in honor of Yakov Sverdlov, who played an important role in planning the October Revolution and is widely believed to have participated in the slaying of the Royal Martyrs on July 17, 1918.
The proposal came during a closed meeting of provincial Governor Evgeny Kuyvashev with the federal parliamentary deputies from the region on the preparations for the celebration of the 300th anniversary of Ekaterinburg, reports URA.RU.
In his speech, Pavel Vladimirovich [Krasheninnikov], the head of the Committee for State Construction and Legislation, among other things, noted that if the authorities want to raise the topic of renaming Sverdlovsk Province, it should either be done right away, with maximum consideration of public opinion, or after the Ural capitals anniversary, one of the participants in the closed meeting explained.
In response, Kuyvashev offered to hear out the chief ideologist of the idea of renaming the provinceDeputy Andrei Alshevsky, who offered several alternative names and advocated for the issue to be brought to a referendum in 2017.
Yes, there was indeed a discussion on renaming, but the issue is not easy, Alshevsky said. I personally spoke about how it would be worth it to look not just at the names Ekaterinburg or Ural [Province]. After all, not too long ago we had the Royal Days in memory of the centenary of the execution of the Emperors family. Therefore, we could consider the option of renaming the province to Romanov.

I’d like to return the JFK airport to its original name of Idlewild.
This happened a few years ago in Willingborough, NJ where the locals decided to rename some building or park or whatever named after JFK and name it for Dr. King. The Kennedy sycophants went into full panic mode and stopped them.
This news brings joy to my heart; the Russian people have survived their 70 years of Communist misery with their humanity intact.
The Old Russia was a beautiful civilization.
We Westerners should pray strongly for such a Restoration, given our own need for some such event ourselves.
It is all in vain. Russia would most likely turn back to socialism if not communism in ten years max.
The dirty, Western-Civ hating tribe who killed the Romanovs weren’t even Russian, really, Solzhenitsyn said.
They told them they needed a historical photo for documentation purposes, before moving them from the countryside farm dacha where they’d been keeping them up until then.
They brought them down to the cellar “for the photo”.
They lined them up, suddenly produced pistols. They began shooting the family down, one by one.
For the first it happened so suddenly that they didn’t really have time to understand what was happening.
But the boy was last, and he did have time to understand —he was finally shot in the head.
The walls had blood all over them. They found the family had sewn jewels into little pouches secreted onto the insides of their clothes.
Jewish ‘revolutionary’ who fought with Lenin. And like all of the original Bolsheviks, he didn’t live very long after the revolution to talk about it (Lenin and then Stalin correctly considered the original revolutionaries, the original Bolsheviks, to be their biggest threats, and quickly disposed of them, once they got what they needed).
This particular clown died in 1919, just 18 months after ‘liberation’. Supposedly he died of the Spanish Flu...supposedly.
This is where one of their chemical weapons labs released a bunch of anthrax and killed a bunch of people downwind, and the truth didn’t come out for decades. There are always plenty of martyrs after commies get the boot.
