Well yes. But I’m not sure we are thinking the same thing. For me, these numbers show another drastic change in the post Vatican II era.
I saw that too, but it really is a symptom of what V2 did to the Catholic church.
There are some things, I think the whole contraception issue is the one that comes to mind easiest, where people are saying that contraception is the cause of the moral breakdown of society, but my contention is that some of these things are more likely symptoms of what was started before they became an issue.
Contraception would not have been an issue if the heart issues had not been there first. I consider it a symptom sin, rather than the cause of the problems.
Sin is always conceived in the heart before being given birth in the actions.
