Thanks, but I’ll take the direct flight to Heaven, just like the Bible states. Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church, all others are imposters. There are no layovers in “purgatory”.

My Bible tells me to pray to the Father, through Jesus Christ. One Mediator, one Advocate. For all sin, for all time!

1 Timothy 2:5 King James Version (KJV)

5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

1 John 2:1-2 King James Version (KJV)

1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

We are warned against placing traditions above the Word of God:

Colossians 2:8-9 King James Version (KJV)

8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

As for the Word of God alone (Sola Scriptura), The Word of God remains clear. Traditions of man can send one to hell, while the Word of God IS Salvation. If one rejects the Word of God as authority, one rejects the Word of God, Jesus Christ:

John 1 King James Version (KJV)

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Jesus compares marriage between man and woman with His Spiritual marriage to the Church (which is His bride)

Which is more likely to send a person to hell? A phisical marriage between man and woman without (another mediators approval) or a case of spiritual adultery? When any person takes on ANY other head, by any other name, by any religios “authority” it IS spritual adultry, and the consequences are far more dangerous then any “conclave of authority”

Consider the warnings in Proverbs chapter 7 for starters, then proceed to Revelation 2:18-24

18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;

19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.

20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.

22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.

Another question I have is, if members who are currently attending the Roman Catholic Church, without annulment granted by “the authority of the church”, then by definition, they are no longer Catholic if they enter into “another marriage”.

So does this mean that the multitudes to whom this entails would be entitled to a refund on their tithes and offerings?

Consider this, in the realm of works, tradition or deeds, (verses Faith), a man is involved in a shipwreck. He alone is the sole survivor and he finds himself washed ashore on a deserted island. Along with him, anothers luggage washes up beside him. He opens it and finds among the contents, a King Jambs Bible. Having never considered before the concept of Christianity, he opens it and reads...

Romans 10:8-13 King James Version (KJV)

8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Question~ Can he be saved by faith alone, or does he suffer eternal damnation without “outside” guidance and authority?

I can’t help but consider the irony of being told the only way to salvation is through the roman catholic church. The same church in fact which claims to have the power to “create” God through a process called transubstantiation.

Then I am told, not only is the person with the turned around collar able to create God weekly, but is also able to absolve sin.

Then I open the newspaper to find this very same individual has been what is known as a perish hopping pedophile.

I am then told, I must uphold tradition over God’s Word. And that the “head” of the church does not reside in Heaven, but rather in Rome.

Come to think of it, there have been others who have said, trust me not your Bible. Now, if I could only recall his name, Oh yeah, Jim Jones.

I’ve been told, the holy roman catholic church is the oldest and the one true church. But then I have read the archives, you can too, in fact it’s available on audio. Here’s the link:

As in many of his articles, Pope is close to "getting it righty" on a lot of doctrinal issues, more so than most Catholics one reads or talks to.

But here's the basic problem: If he were totally concerned with "Bcoming (a) Christian" than "Becoming Catholic," a more sincere dialogue might take place.

Regarding the issues he addresses in this piece, we would agree. But observing the doctrinal stance in the wrong framework kills the essential purpose and result.

It is interesting and telling that Catholic apologists NEVER want to talk about just JESUS....it is ALWAYS ‘the Catholic Church’ and Jesus..... as if Jesus would simply not exist without ‘the church’.....

so Catholics....question for you..... WOULD Jesus, could and can Jesus SAVE, without the ‘catholic church’ as ‘his only door to the lost world’??

Since no Catholic “believer“ found time to answer this question when it was supposed a few days ago… I will pose it again.

, is Jordan Peterson?

"We all know this: it's better to live courageously then cowardly,

Everyone knows that,

that's what you teach people that you love and...

we know that it's better to live truthfully than in deceit"

Once you finally accept it,

it's impossible to take your eyes off the Truth

There were two catechumens and ten candidates received into the Church during our Easter Vigil Mass at Holy Spirit Parish. Amen! Alleluia!
