To you, pedophilia isn’t that bad. To me, the proposed punishment is appropriate. That divide is the crux of the matter.
You have even gone so far in your zeal to defend said pedophiles as to assert that making such a law would mean that pedophiles wouldn’t even get a trial. That doesn’t follow.
Pedophilia should be a capital crime. The accusation of pedophilia and summary execution of said accused should also be a capital crime.
