It reminds me of Jung's statement (and Jordan Peterson quoting Jung as well) that "people don't have ideas...ideas have people." I believe there's a spiritual component to the current battle... an 'energy' behind the two sides. But that said, I also believe human representatives of those totalitarian ideas have organized in a very real way.

A very large percentage of the younger population have no concept of what it truly means to be an American. Of the concept of a Republic. Of individual freedoms and the individual civic responsibilities required to maintain those freedoms. Their education has become little more than bumper sticker platitudes promising fictional, unobtainable utopias. We are becoming a nation of leftist tools.
