Wasting Catholics’ Money
Church Militant ^ | March 12, 2019 | Bradley Eli

Cardinals are spending loads of Catholic cash instead of embracing the long arms of justice.

Last September, New York's Cdl. Timothy Dolan hired Barbara Jones, a former federal judge, to conduct an independent investigation into how the archdiocese handled allegations of sex abuse. At $750 per hour — what Jones typically charges — the archdiocese has already shelled out around half a million dollars — all for naught, as Church Militant reported that Dolan is ignoring Jones' recommendations to remove several predator priests from active ministry.

Dolan has also wasted untold funds in obstructing justice which demands that the relatives of Abp. Fulton Sheen be allowed to transfer his body from New York to the diocese of Peoria, Illinois where his process of canonization is being furthered. Three times Dolan stonewalled the legal process, and three times the court ruled that Dolan was in the wrong for refusing to give up Sheen's body to Sheen's next of kin.

The church, especially my local parish is the only charity I will give to. Other charities are crap. The church may not be perfect, but many parishes are trying very hard.

Every priest proven to have abused young children should be booted from the priesthood. Cardinal Dolan, being resistant to that concept is trying to live in the past. He has to wake up. He cannot continue to try to hide these queer priests.

I don’t agree that “Other charities are crap”.

I would have to say that there are many, many charities out there, who are not spending their donations on lawyers and investigations for pedophiles and child molesters.

My neighborhood is filled with million dollar homes and some of the biggest are owned by presidents of large charities. Charities are slush funds for liberals. who would not otherwise have such a good job.

A major reason why I have stopped contributing.

It was clear my money was being used to hire high-power attorneys and spin doctors to try and save the pudgy pink a*sses of a lot of Bishops.
