John Wesley was part of the Pentecostal Holiness movement, with much emphasis on righteous living (holiness). And yes, part of what Wesley had to deal with in his day was teaching holiness in a world of sexual debauchery (even in his day).I suspect not many know that John Wesley visited and ministered to the early Georgia Colony at Savannah for two years. That is part of the reason the Methodist movement later took hold here so fervently.

Agreed. I live in Alabama so I knew Wesley visited colonial southeast U.S. back in the day, though I couldn’t have told you it was Georgia.
