My pastor recounted a fascinating anecdote recently about a conversation he had with someone-another pastor-that had visited Jerusalem.

He had a discussion with some of the folks from The Temple Institute, the guys that are in the process of constructing the 3rd Temple.

"Yeah, you folks have the spoons and bowls and even the red heifer (three, in fact), but you don't have the Ark of the Covenant."

To which he replied by giving him a knowing, wry smile.

These people don't even realize why they're building this temple, or who they're building it to.

I believe that Christ living in you is The Temple. God doesn’t need a building made with hands, He wants a Temple made with the Holy Ghost. The Episple of Paul the Apostle to the Hebrews. My 2 cents worth.

There was no Ark in the Second Temple, so it isn’t required for the Third.
