He no more found that then he Found Biblical Support for Idolatry, Bestiality or Adultery. He might as well argue that it is pastorally unsustainable for the Church to make no formal provision for those in Adulterous relationships.
God made man and women distinctively different yet uniquely compatible and complementary, and only joined them together in marriage - as the Lord Jesus Himself specified - and only condemned homosexual relations wherever they are manifestly dealt with.
Yet there is still room at the cross for all who will come to God in repentance and faith, and trust in the Divine Son of God sent by the Father, the risen Lord Jesus, to save them on His account, by His sinless shed blood, and thus be baptized and live for Him. Acts 10:36-47
He seems to be completely unaware that there are ALREADY formal provisions for how to deal with those in same-gender relationships (AKA homosexuals) in Scripture. God says it is an ABOMINATION to Him, so the responsibility of pastors and the members of the congregations is to help those seeking to know the Lord and to live holy lives that are pleasing to God and bring Him glory. He never expects us to condone, ignore or excuse sin.
I skimmed the article. The gish of it (at the bottom) is that we should interpret the Bible in light of society needs and science. This is just short hand for “do whatever” and throw out the Bible. There is no serious study of scripture nor is there any reference that he can point to. It’s no different than the northern tribe of Israel making golden calves and then proclaiming “these are the gods that led you out of Egypt”.
His Bible must have had "emanations" from its "penumbra."
