2) to the extent evangelical leaders have excused the President’s bad behavior (especially in the present, with his tweets and his treatment of others), we have compromised our moral authority (a major point made by Napp);

Right here is where Mr. Brown goes "off the rails."

I am a born-again Bible Believing Christian, an Evangelical.

That being said, I suspect that Mr. Brown belongs to that group of Christians that believes in the failed "Loving them into the Kingdom" approach to Christianity.

You have to CONFRONT sin where you find it. You have to CONFRONT bad behavior where you find it.

Your primary focus, as a Christian, cannot be avoid offending someone at all costs.

The best example of this if Jesus, everytime He interfaced with someone, He first started out by putting His finger on the personal sin that was keeping that individual from Salvation, or a closer walk with Him. Then, and Only then he pointed them to the solution, Himself.

Furthermore, the New Testament commands us to Rebuke sin. It is not an suggestion, but a command.

President Trump is our Samson. Just as the uncouth, long-haired Sampson was Called by God to save and judge Isreal, I believe that President Trump has also been called for the same reasons by God Himself.

Mr. Brown needs to get over his sensibilities and start Praying that God would continue to have his way with our Country and with President Trump.

Granted that he is similar to Samson, let us not forget what led to Samson’s tragic end in the first place.

If Trump had an affair with Stormy Daniels, we should not condone or defend what he did, just as we do not condone Samson’s dalliances with Philistinian prostitutes.

I agree with your assessment of Michael Brown. He is of the "nicer-than-Jesus" variety of "gentle" believers. He gets walked over as a result.

John 3:16 is NOT the beginning of the Gospel, but Romans 1:18-22:

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.
