The cross was a blank check righteously given in love to the world because the sins of the whole world were righteously judged on the body of God’s son Jesus Christ 2000 years ago regardless of who accepts or rejects the free gift of salvation

We obviously have a difference of opinion regarding the atonement; you believe in universal atonement while I believe in limited (particular) atonement. How would you explain John 8:23-24 (Jesus speaking to the Pharisees):

23 But he continued, “You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. 24 I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am he, you will indeed die in your sins.”

Beyond that, let's for the sake of argument say that Jesus has already forgiven everyone's sins, regardless of their belief. OK, what is the consequence of unbelief? What is the eternal destination of the unbeliever?

Jesus died for the sins of the whole world (John 1:29, 1 John 2:2).

Sin is no longer the issue because Christ took care of the sin issue on the cross forever - an issue that man could NEVER fix.

The ONLY question left is, “What are you going to do with Jesus?”

Life is not a sin question, it is a Christ question. But the Christ question is couched in 2 Cor 5:19 - that of God reaching out to a hurting world in love offering reconciliation because Jesus Christ has taken care of the sin problem and there’s long longer any reason to be afraid of or run away from God.

So the Christ issue is couched in the message of grace and forgiveness, not condemnation.
