If the song isn't about Jesus, it's not a Christmas song!
We Three Kings https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=531qwCRU5sw
DC Talk - Jesus Freak (for good measure, it's a Jesus song, but not really a Christmas song) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbB0QrBIs9k
Two of my favorite DC Talk songs:
We Three Kings

DC Talk - Jesus Freak (for good measure, it’s a Jesus song, but not really a Christmas song)

.... and I’ve never figured out why the Post#1 on FR doesn’t format, but the #2 post does....
weird
They are telling their story of seeing out Jesus, finding him and acknowledging him as the King of Kings.
Yep, it is as much of a non-Jesus a story as any Christian’s story of their acceptance of Christ as their Lord and Saviour.
(tad of sarcasm in the last sentence)
There’s nothing Christian about Christmas if one actually looks into it.
Frosty the Snowman
Let It Snow
I’m dreaming of a White Christmas
Silver Bells
Winter Holiday
Christmas Time is Coming Again
Jingle Bell Rock
. . . .and on and on and on.
I always call the reams of secular Christmas songs (which most of them are, since the religious ones are largely banned off the airwaves these days)—
CHRISTLESS CAROLS
In fact, I call Christmas “Christless” generally, referring to the 95% that is just about money and greed and has nothing to do with Jesus.
I try to have as little to do with Christless as possible. Including my own church’s Christless Service, which is basically about entertaining the unconverted with an extravaganza. Orchestra and large choir, bagpipes, dramatical performances etc.
I really can’t stand it.
So Jingle Bells and White Christmas arent Christmas songs?
Really?
I love me some Supernatural, Like It Love It Need It, In the Light, and of course Jesus Freak. And some of their solo stuff and switched to other bands stuff (Newsboys and Audio Adrenaline).
Does that include Christmas trees? I mean if a Christmas tree is good enough for Christ, it's good enough for me.
That’s true, He was born under a Christmas as our Christmas Present.
It just occurred to me that this means that “Die Hard” is not a Christmas movie. (& I’ve wondered why some say it is their favorite Christmas movie....)
>>>Technically, wouldn’t “We Three Kings” be an Epiphany carol?
Yes. But then all those people upset about whether people wish them a Merry Christmas during Advent, spend most of the Christmas Season wishing one another Happy New Year.
Merry Christmas.
No one should go negative on Christmas because what if that person should need assistance with some broken lights? Like he'd be in any position to ask Jesus for help? :)
Fun fact: Alan Rickman was told that he was going to be let go on a count of three. They dropped him on “two,” and the look of panic on his face is definitely not acted; one is not surprised to learn that he was extremely angry after that shoot was over.
Surely someone in that move at one time or another mentions Jesus ... although probably not in the correct manner.
