Both President Tump and our First Lady stood with bowed heads and eyes closed as in prayer during the reciting....no disrespect.

Just for the record huff post.....Trump was the only President in attendance as the others are FORMER presidents...

I honestly think they didn’t realize it was written in program and meant to be recited. Our President and First Lady do not have a history of church attendance. They stood and bowed their heads and prayed along in their hearts.
My guess is they actually listened to the words. The others were reading for show without understanding.
