The only thing that might get the attention of the hierarchy is empty pews and especially empty collection plates. The Catholic Church is crumbling in the wake of these homosexual scandals and the complacency of Church leaders who knew and either tolerated or covered up the homosexual take over of the Church. The Pope is part of the problem and will not make the radical changes needed to root out homosexuality in the clergy. It would take nothing less than mass excommunications of the clergy involved and a strong condemnation of homosexuality reiterating the Church’s long held teaching that homosexuality is both sinful and an abboration of God’s law. No one in the Church would in my opinion be willing to take these steps.
