The rules and traditions of the Church are that only a Pope can definitively correct another Pope. That means a successor repudiating the errors of his predecessor.

We have a unique situation in Church history in that we have two living popes so, ironically, unless Benedict XVI were to speak there's no remedy to Francis other than to wait for nature to take its course and leave it to his successor to clean up the mess.

Of course, Benedict isn't going to speak because he knows full well that doing so would result in an immediate schism. So all the good bishops can do is plead and pray for Francis to repent either until he does, or he dies.
