Catholic poll: does your church still pray for the president during prayer if the faithful?

Posted on 10/16/2018 6:54:16 PM PDT by Phillyred

I have noticed that since Trump was elected, our church and others in the area no longer pray for the president and our leaders during the Prayer of the Faithful. It is really starting to irritate me. Traditionally, this was always part of the prayer and he needs it now more than mkst presidents have. Did other Freepers notice that they stopped? What about other Christian churches?

I'm in a non denominational church and we pray for Trump all the time. We prayed for Kavanaugh and family. We used to pray that Obama would get saved. We believe if you are for killing babies and sodomy you aren't saved. We are told we will know them by their fruit. Romans 1:32 says you are guilty of the sin if you just agree with it.

There was a word given by the Holy Spirit when Kavanaugh was in trouble that if he was rejected, America is under judgement. If he made it, the can is kicked down the trail one more time.

We should notice that he was approved by just one vote. Jesus said it will be as in the days of Noah and Lot when He comes back. We are there. Birth pangs could start any time now.

My Church prays generically for “elected leaders”, in language that is basically a veiled call for open borders and more welfare.
