Big news! We just learned of…
…the 15,000th baby saved from abortion since 2007!
Of those 15,000 (that we know of!), 414 were saved during the last 40 Days. That number is sure to rise as reports from local leaders are still coming in. Praise God!
Meet Jay–who just celebrated his first birthday thanks to your prayers–and 18 other babies saved from abortion in this new video.
Each of these babies–as well as the many saved who we can’t count–is alive and well because of your prayers and your sacrifices. But even as we celebrate these successes, we remember the children who were lost to abortion during our peaceful vigil.
I want to thank the Christian Broadcasting Network for publishing an excerpt of The Beginning of the End of Abortion.
In this excerpt, I discuss the importance of remembering those who don’t make it out of the abortion facility alive.
It’s neither fun nor exciting, but your prayer and witness when a baby’s life is lost might be the only act of love that child ever received in her all-too-short time on this earth.
That’s a gift. Thank you for giving it these last 40 days.
Riyom, Nigeria
In addition to the usual challenges that accompany a 40 Days for Life campaign, volunteers in Nigeria have been threatened by terrorism–particularly persecution of Christians.
In spite of the national crisis, participants in 11 Nigerian cities continued to uphold the dignity of every human life.
Jummai in Riyom said that one expectant mother was being pressured to have an abortion. However, with the 40 Days for Life community’s support, she decided to keep her child and will even be speaking at an upcoming women’s conference about her decision.
Tampa, Florida
With tears in her eyes, the frightened mother arrived at a Southwest Florida pregnancy help center. She had driven across Tampa Bay to the abortion facility to confirm that she was pregnant…and to decide what to do about it.
But the abortion center didn’t offer her any alternatives–just an abortion appointment the next day.
“No other options,” said a counselor with the St. Petersburg pregnancy center. “Not even an ultrasound to confirm viability.” Fortunately, as that counselor invited the anxious mom to share her story, she started to relax.
“She called her job and told them she would be late tomorrow,” the counselor said. “She had just made an appointment to meet her baby. Thank you, 40 Days for Life!”
Scripture and Prayer
He will wipe every tear from their eyes. On this rock I will build my church; the gates of hell will not prevail against it. Matthew 16:18
Father, we have done battle with the power of evil, and therefore we can have compassion on those still within its grip. We have been freed from the kingdom of darkness, and therefore we can bear witness to your Kingdom of Light. May the witness of all your people through these 40 Days for Life bear abundant fruit.
