and if you talk about chastity with LGBT people, do it as much with straight people.
This is one of Jimmy Martin's favorite themes. That the so-called LGBT are held to a different, unfair standard. Whenever some teacher at a Catholic school gets fired for 'marrying' his/her same-sex partner, Jimmy screams bloody murder, saying 'What about Mrs Smith the school secretary who married a divorced guy outside the Church? What about Miss Jones the art history teacher who's shacking up with her boyfriend? Why aren't they fired too? Hypocrites!' Not that he really wants the straight teachers fired, too. What he really wants is approval of the gays. And it's disingenuous. Mrs Smith's marriage to the divorced guy outside the Church may not be ideal but it's not inherently disordered. Maybe the shack-up straights should be fired too, but fornication (usually) isn't public in the same way that a purported 'marriage' is.
