I would add that infant dedications are not claiming to be anything other than a time where parents appear before the congregation, make it clear that they want to raise their child to know and honor Christ, and ask for prayer to strengthen and give them grace for such a task.

It is a reflection of intent of the parents
It is a reflection that none of us are capable on our own to accomplish such a task.
It honors the command of God to raise your child in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

There is no claim of salvation.

Correct!

It is ancient Hebrew tradition to dedicate one’s child to Yehova.

There is nothing more a parent can do.

And Protestants that perform infant baptisms see it the same way. In fact, I heard it more than once that infant dedications are just waterless baptisms.

Just because the RCC imbues baptism with mystic properties does not invalidate the practice.
