Yeah, if we say so! Catholics, as you well know from many people wiser than I on these threads, do not hold to the 16th century new idea of sola scriptura. We honor the Blessed Mother and we find it dull to thump on the Bible all the time. Our Church has created some of the best music and art of all time (and still does). Science, medicine, astronomy all have their roots in the Catholic Church. So does the New Testament. Sorry, one little Bible cannot hold a candle to Catholicism.
Reliance upon the Scriptures, the written word, dates all the way back to the Old Testament and continued into the New Testament.
Our Church has created some of the best music and art of all time (and still does).
So have others.
Science, medicine, astronomy all have their roots in the Catholic Church.
Well, Galileo, among others, might disagree with your assessment.
So does the New Testament.
Ah yes....the much discredited claim that Rome gave us the Bible. Yet history records it was only at the Council of Trent in the 1500s that Rome proclaimed their canon.
Sorry, one little Bible cannot hold a candle to Catholicism.
Well, at least you're honest. You admit Roman Catholicism is bigger than the very book which is God's word to us. You have indeed elevated Rome over the Bible.
And that is your problem. The inspired Word of God cannot hold a candle to your sect. I pity you. Heaven and earth ( and your art and music and whatever else) will soon pass away but the Word oh God is eternal.
