I learned the young man was ‘rescued’ by this Priest as a young child which he “groomed” for himself over the years...that everyone in the church knew this but nobody wanted to ‘shake the tree’...
I tend to think there are and have been other congregations who are equally to blame for this abuse of children and the invasion of Homos into their church. They grant the ‘power of the Priesthood’ it was never intended to have and the price of their children has resulted.

These aren't "holy men of God" that succumbed to sin.

it also opened the door for misfeasance towards women. How can a homosexual/predator priest who rejects women on several levels, who abuses their children, minister to women honestly and nondestructively? The silent crime that has been committed against the women of the church is almost if not as bad as that committed against the children.
