However, I don’t see any prohibition being fat, unless you automatically associate being fat with gluttony (it is interesting to not that gluttony is nearly always associated with drunkenness in the Bible). Nor do I see one against smoking.

I believe it's clear that a Christian doing anything to harm oneself body which is the Temple of God is a sin...

I can see that for smoking, but the Bible stills says nothing about what an acceptable weight is for a person. It does condemn gluttony.

Also, there are many other activities that pose risks to the human body. In fact, most forms of exercise and sports can lead to injury. Should Christians not do these things?
