I could live in a 10m apartment building and own nothing. You’re not very good at this

How can you criticize annulment process when protestants don’t care how many times you’re married, nor whether you ever confess adultery, or ever stop doing it.

Why do you post misrepresentations of non-Catholic thinking? If that's what you've been told, someone lied to you.

But for all Catholic condemn divorce, they sure don't have a problem with the sin is relabeled as *annulment* and can get one with their church's complicity. Especially for the right price. It's amazing what a little cash can do to get some people to overlook sin.

What an abomination!

Ironic that you condemn *Protestant* preachers when your clergy live in the lap of luxury, host cocaine fueled homosexual orgies at headquarters and move around actively homosexual priests who are molesting children instead of turning them over to authorities, prosecuting them, and defrocking them.

No, all we hear is *Once a priest, always a priest* and the priest who have been molesting some alter boy the night before, goes up in front of the congregation and serves mass and dares to take in those same hands the eucharist as if he were the paragon of virtue and holiness.

And I wonder what those congregants would think if they knew what those hands that place the host in their mouths that they are told THEY are unworthy to handle, had been doing the night before?

And then Catholic dare to point fingers at others as if they are standing on the moral high ground?

FWIW, I don't recall any of those televangelists you mentioned having their own private army to defend them and their estate, either.

Here, without html, the link works as is.

It’ll make you sick seeing how the Catholic clergy lives and reading about the kind of staff they have attending to their every need.

Owning nothing isn’t an issue when you live like those guys do. All it means is that in addition to their ostentatious lifestyles, they don’t have to worry about paying the bills or maintenance, or any of the other concerns the rest of us unwashed have to deal with.

Again, Catholics condemn in others what they allow for themselves.

It’s also a wonder that God does not strike that homosexual, altar boy molesting scum right there on the spot when he lifts up the eucharist.

The church doesn’t charge for annulments anymore, you are misinformed. If that’s what you’ve been told, someone lied to you.

Are people living in adultery allowed in your church?

What an abomination!

I don’t condemn the protestants for living in luxury, I condemn for using the Gospel to enrich themselves.

FWIW, the very apostles denied knowing Jesus, only one as far as I know showed up for the crucifixion. One also took part in the persecution of Christians. They weren’t perfect, they were sinners.

I guess I could be like you and the other trolls and spend my entire life attacking other Christians on their protestant threads, but fortunately I am not anti Christian. Most of my family is Baptist, one brother;s a minister, we get along.

Why don’t you leave us alone and get along?

What are you doing? The same thing? I didn’t comment on a protestant thread and attack people. Get a life!

Why don’t you volunteer at the Church of make my Escalade payment instead of spending your free time attacking Catholics?

[Biggirl] Going to informing books on the scriptures do much better job than it from a context point of view. There excellent scripture scholarship out there. ☺

[Daniel1212]You mean like study helps and all the notes in your New American Bible for the past 5 decades?

There are excellent books outside of the Bible itself.

Which does not answer the questions.

Your OPINION only.

Are you serious? This is an example of Catholic reasoning? superiority? You either answered the specific questions or you did not? Is 2+2=4 also just my opinion?

My apologies. It is implied in your statement, but not explicitly mentioned.

But RCs say I am too prolix!

Mary sinned just like the rest of us.

You are welcome to your own opinion but i have no doubt she was sinless compared to me.

Yes, we are saved by Grace and not works because there is no way any one could do enough to earn his way, a man might give his 12 year old son fifty cents or a dollar to fill the wood box, not that he earned it because that should be his job any way but if he don`t do it he won`t get the money.

Mathew 7
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

It appears to me that Jesus is speaking to a whole bunch of people who claim to believe in him and it is pretty plain they are going to hell.

The only ones who will enter heaven is the ones who does the fathers will.

James 2:14-26
14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,

16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

The works James is talking about is what Jesus plainly told us to do.

And if we are doing what Jesus told us to do maybe we won`t have time to sin as much.

The Matthew 7 passage shows that works without faith will not save you. These are people relying on their works, not their faith.

As for James 2, the questions is do works follow faith, or is it faith + works? c.f. Ephesians 2:8-10. James and Paul are not in opposition, rather they stand back-to-back to antinomians and legalists.

No Christian church I know would allow it.

The person would be removed from the membership roles and not permitted to hold any kind of church office.

They would be counseled and advised to stop the sin.

By your comments, it is clear that you are painfully ignorant of how Christian churches deal with sin. I’m guessing that you are just using what you’ve heard in the Catholic echo chamber.

I condemn for using the Gospel to enrich themselves.

And the Catholic church is different just how?

They live like that and then expect the laity to bail them out when they are sued for molesting kids?

God doesn’t care about how we compare to each other.

He cares about how we compare to HIM.
