The fact that Christians do not think that God is too interested in healing our bodies, or helping us in our day to day living is, in my opinion, a left over of Gnostisism. Gnostics think all that God cares about is the spiritual, not the material, physical. Yes, Jesus became flesh. He is our physical and spiritual bridge to our Heavenly Father.
