31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. 32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. 33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. 34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. 35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: 36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. 37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Heavenly Father, thank You for giving Your Son for us so that we can have eternal life with You. Grant that we'll remember to always be watching for His return. Help also all of Your missionaries, pastors and church leaders, and all those being persecuted for Your Son's sake. Help us, too, as we face living in this time and place which is more and more rejecting Your Son and in which coldness is growing in many churches, and help our leaders in the world, including the Trumps and Pences. Help and protect, too, children who are being abused. In Jesus' name, Amen.

One of the most significant prophetic chapters in the Gospels regarding events in the 70th week of Daniel, along with Luke 17 and 21 and Matthew 24.

Thanks for posting and bump.

19 For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.

This verse convinces me that the events of this prophecy go far beyond the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD. In fact, it suggests to me, powerfully, that there is much of it still ahead, even from our own perspective. It tells me that the afflictions have to surpass the Barbarian invasions, the Black Death, the American Civil War, WW I, The Holocaust, Hiroshima, all of that. I can't even imagine. But I believe it.
