That still doesn't make them "virgins".

Physically and literally they might not be virgins. The same way physically Bread and Wine are not literally the Body and Blood of Jesus. But *spiritually* is a different story. And consecration is a spiritual act, a transformation takes place.

In God's eyes such women are washed in the blood of Christ and clothed now in His purity.
