According to Lauren Sandler, opinion columnist for Huffington Post, conservatives source document for understanding the rights of Americans is not the Constitution, but the New Testament. She believes they use this document to force women to submit to their husbands and have babies.
Trumps Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh, although not a evangelical Christian, is a thriving alumnus of President George W. Bushs administration, the same administration that best understood the vigorous political power of cultural conservatives. He, and other conservative Christians in politics are demanding that their beliefs be honored as the rule of law.
Sandler claims that the evangelicals who form a minority of our country but the solid rock of the Republican base understand gender roles by Ephesians 5:22, wives, submit to your husband as to the lord. Sandler interpretes the verse to mean that women are not to be trusted and the men in womens lives must draw the shape of our [their] futures and govern whether we [they] grow, birth, suckle and raise children. Because women cant think for themselves.
This verse vibrate[s] through the two most relevant cases to Kavanaughs and our possible future relationship to Roe v. Wade. Because all that matters to conservatives is how Kavanaugh interprets the prudence of precedence. She believes that Kavanaugh, and the pro-life organizations that support him want to strip women of agency and give our men de facto power of attorney over our bodies, ourselves. Calling The Federalist Society a group that wants to throw human rights back to the feral back alleys of the states.

If pro-lifers get Roe v. Wade reversed it would create two separate classes of women of childbearing age: ones who can legally plan their families, and ones who cant. Or to conservative Christians those who live under the righteous dominion of a husband, and those who dont.
Women should have the right to kill their children. What about the fathers right to raise the child?
Aaaaaah, no.
It’s about killing babies.
Actually, it’s because Christians know that God forbids murder of the innocent. What demon-possessed people are among us!
The meme is about Christians but it really reeks about Islam...NOW.
Not in some distant fevered future.
NOW.
I think I might have read somewhere about, “Thou shalt not kill.” Perhaps a lib can identify the source. Naw, of course they can’t.
Why would Lauren Sandler know anything at all about Christianity? She wouldn’t. Same goes for the woman who wrote The Handmaid’s Tale.
And I believe Rachel Peterson is an accomplice to murder.
Sorry. That’s Lauren Sandler.
Coffee.
Slaughtering babies SHOULD be a risky business.
The pro-abortion agendas focus on “the woman” continues to reveal the internal lie within it - they don’t see the life, the human, in the womb. That is the only way they can find that pro-life forces “don’t trust women”. To them it is all 100% about the woman, they nothing, in thoughts or feelings about the infant.
Sometimes you cant fix stupid...
Heres an example...
New Testament? Im so confused. I thought Do not kill was OT.
The real concern is, what being named in the Bible, OT or NT, benefits from mothers killing their unborn children?
Assuming that such a being exists, in what ways does this being benefit from an abortion?
If you can answer those questions, then you understand why Christians are against abortion.
Keep in mind, that one doesn’t have to be a Christian or any sort of religious person to find abortion to be wrong and harmful to person and society and state.
Same for homosexuality and all sexual practices outside of adult, monogamous, lifetime, male-female, sexual activity.
One merely has to love his fellow man, his neighbor, and want the best for society and state to share the so-called “Christian” views on marriage, sexuality, and abortion.
Too often, in public forums, secularists immediately jump to Christianity as the means and rationale for berating those who see the flaws in abortion and perverse sexuality, and Christians themselves advance Christianity and God as the rationale for seeing abortion and perverse sexuality as flawed.
We Christians should always point to our faith and to God’s word, but we don’t need to always do so when entering debates in public forums with secularists hostile to Christianity.
The most hardened atheist could and should side with Christian public policy views on abortion and marriage and sexuality.
My otherwise very conservative neighbor is pro- abort with only one pre-qualifier:
He states it was designed only for liberals-progressives.
He rattles off statistics and demographics and marvels about what a really @#@#$$ mess our country would be if the spawn of the lib had survived.
What’s the best argument against that line of thinking?
I argue that lots of uninformed and otherwise neutral women have been suckered into having abortions.
We have reached the point in this country where we Normals have literally NOTHING in common with the Progs. They believe that Christianity is the only thing standing between them a murdering their own children with impunity? Sodom and Gomorrah are perhaps owed an apology.
Let me guess. Lauren is so ugly that her parents shaved her head and made her walk backwards.
5.56mm
Liberal bigotry in display.
60 million dead Americans and they still want more to die (for profit).
“A Handmaid’s Tale” is textbook cultural jamming. They replace the real thing, Christianity, with their demonic view of it, and the gullible believe that real Christianity is being portrayed on this show. These people who believe this show’s deception probably don’t know a single serious Christian.
All Roe did was shelter the criminals so they could move the entrance door from the back alley to the Main Street... and secure income streams to support their filthy trade.
I think that's delusional. If, as the hardened atheist believes, people are simply the result of random processes in a closed universe, then the only conceivable morality is complete hedonism: whatever is good for the atheist is moral, and murdering anybody else that gets in the way is just good business. You have to take their philosophy all the way to where it leads. It leads to mass murder, genocide, and infanticide, which are all things they support.
