Peter was also single. As were ALL the disciples. God saw them fit to be overseers.
Again: Saint Paul in 1 Cor 7:
7 But I wish everyone were single, just as I am. Yet each person has a special gift from God, of one kind or another.
8 So I say to those who arent married and to widowsits better to stay unmarried, just as I am.
If Peter was single, how did he have a mother-in-law? (See Matthew 8:14.)
Um....if Peter was single, then explain in Mark’s Gospel the healing of the mother-in-law of Peter.
Wrong......
Matthew 8:14 And when Jesus entered Peters house, he saw his mother-in-law lying sick with a fever.
1 Corinthians 9:5 Do we not have the right to take along a believing wife, as do the other apostles and the brothers of the Lord and Cephas?
With all due respect Condoleezzdprotege, Matthew 8:14-15 shows that Jesus went to Peters house and healed Peters sick mother-in-law.
