Entrusting children to so-called homosexual couples constitutes in the last analysis a moral abuse of children, the smallest and most defenseless, said Bishop Athanasius Schneider in an interview with Italian media last week. Mincing no words, the bishop said gay adoption will go down in history as one of the greatest degradations of civilization. Those who daily combat this gross injustice are the true friends of children and the heroes of our age.
An auxiliary bishop of Astana, Kazakhstan, Schneider told the Italian daily Il Giornale that the Catholic Church, just like every human person with good sense and sound reason, has always rejected homosexual activity.
Handing children over to homosexual couples is a violation of the fundamental right of every child to grow up and be raised by a dad and a mom, he said.
The bishops words come in the wake of an ongoing battle in the United States over the unwillingness of adoption and foster care agencies run by the Catholic Church to place children in homes with gay couples.
Last March, Philadelphias Department of Human Services ceased new foster care placements with Catholic Social Services and another faith-based agency, Bethany Christian Services, because of the agencies policy of not placing foster children with same-sex couples.
At the time, the city also announced its intention to terminate its contract with Catholic Social Services at the end of June because of its beliefs about gay marriage.

The good bishop is right, demonstrating again the superiority of historic Christian thinking
They seek to normalize their behavior to achieve easier access to MOLEST YOUR CHILDREN!
On page 37, the other relevant result relates to men.
The 13th research question addressed, of homosexual men who have been molested, what percentage were molested before self-identification as homosexual men, and what percentage were molested after self-identification as homosexual? Of homosexual men who were molested, 68% were molested before self-identification as homosexual, and 32% were molested after self-identification as homosexual.
Yes it is.
This used to be the prevailing opinion in this country, not just with Catholics. Sad to see how far we have fallen.
We are dealing with this in America too. I’ve heard Catholic charities and other such groups, are no.longer permitted by some states to be involved with adoption. And the reason is that they “discriminate” against homosexual couples. Legally, because we now have 50 state homosexual marriage, it’s a losing legal battle on the subject.
It is troubling, that we can’t say we prefer to place children with traditional families, because so doing will he said to discriminate against a homosexual.
This ties into the nutty belief that there is no difference between the sexes.
The bishop gets it. Giving away kids to sex offenders is a life full of abuse that will never leave these kids, even as adults. Elton John and his rimming partner were allowed to buy two little boys. Of course, special privilege is not ever going to be denied to SIR Elton.
Never will it be a losing battle to fight these queer child abusers, never. The law is a facile thing; it can be changed using a different piece of paper and a few honest people.
That is true in our confused day and age. But since the dogmatic teachings of the Church do not change, a smart and non-lazy Catholic will do this: observe what the bishop has to say and compare it to the Scriptures and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. If what the bishop says contradicts them, politely ignore him. If it is in line with what the Church teaches, pay attention. Bishop Schnieder and few other bishops I can name are straight arrows and have proven themselves worthy of credence. The current Holy Father and many other bishops, not so much. Hold onto the good, and resist the bad.
Also physical and mental.
I agree with the good Bishop. Gays should not have children. Period. While children are fairly good at adjusting to their given environment; it isn’t right nor fair to do that to any child.
You may have noticed, Goveror Dinwiddie, that the Catholic Church has been in a state of low-grade civil war since 2013, when the newly-elected Pope Francis proclaimed what has turned out to he his de facto motto, "Hagan Lío" ("Make a Mess.")
Yes, he had his Synod of Subversives have, it's true, said all kinds of contradictory things over the past 5 years. And yes, within a 24-hour news cycle, somebody can be counted on to say the opposite, each and every time.
However, Pope Francis has not changed, and cannot change, doctrine. (That's why his modus operandi is ambiguous antitheses, coy footnotes, stage whispers, winks & nudges & knowing glances.)
The above is still the doctrine of the Church, and will remain so.
If you care about truth, you should not throw them all in the same 'bucket of warm spit'. You should support the truth-tellers --- note who they are --- those who are faithful to Scripture and Catechism; and if you still have the spit, denounce the rest.
