Liberals intentionally lie about the cost of having children to discourage the responsible from having them or having very many.
It does NOT cost a quarter million plus to raise a child.
One could certainly spend less than that, I suppose...but I would guess that many spend that much and more over the course of a couple of decades.
Thankfully, I only have to guess, not having kids myself....
