Controversy has surrounded the Saint Anselm Chapter of the Knights of Columbus recently as former Grand Knight Andrew Keyes resigned over what he claims was unfair discrimination based on his sexuality. Members from the school and national chapters have all issued responses to the Saint Anselm Crier over the events which have transpired.
Keyes, a double major in Criminal Justice and Politics in the Class of 2018, states that he was approached by the schools chapter and told that he was formally asked to resign after he brought a member of the same sex to the Knights of Columbus Formal held on March 16. In an interview with the Crier, the Massachusetts Native said that at the event he didnt receive any negative backlash for his decision to bring a male date to the formal. According to Keyes, many people were aware of his sexuality and the night continued smoothly. In the days following the formal, he claims knowledge of what occurred at the formal became public and it was requested by some that action be taken against the Grand Knight.
Keyes has been part of the Saint Anselm Chapter for four years states that he was not told outright that he was being forced to quit, but suspected that the Chapter was being pressured by the Supreme Council with threats to cut funding. Keyes told the Crier that while Chapter Chaplain Father Benedict Guevin was incredibly supportive, he expressed to Andrew that his hands were essentially tied. Keyes stated that in a meeting with Father Benedict, he said I do not want any fight in the community- you can either resign peacefully or fight it and choose to go through an impeachment trial.

I am a 4th Degree Knight and what he did is against everything we are for. I am no pacifistic when it comes to defending the faith. His conduct warranted his ouster.
How do you suppose that would work out?
Thanks for the link to Catholic Daughters of America. I had not heard of it.

Liberals get ‘outraged’ when something does not go there way as a method to have people stop supporting the thing they are outraged at. The liberal media is in lock step with this effort and publicize that outrage endlessly.
Fight back, folks or you will not have anything left to fight for if the liberals get their way.

Interesting that Freemason's wouldn't let Catholics join. Because as late as the early 60s (and perhaps later), a significant portion of Southern Baptists intensely distrusted both Freemasons *AND* Catholics, imagining conspiracies everywhere (hence JFK's address to a S. Baptist conclave to assure them that he wouldn't be taking marching orders from the Pope).
Of course, some Baptist denominations (especially the ones who claim they are NOT a denomination) have been wont to even attack other Baptist denominations.
Pre Civil War, there were entire political parties dedicated to one single issue of opposing some group or other. Eg the Know-Nothing Party (anti-Catholic), and the AntiMasonic Party.
:-)
Should be kicked out. To be a knight, you have to be in good standing in the Church.
Freemasons (at least some of them) would let Catholics join, but the Catholic Church absolutely prohibits membership in the Freemasons.
Acti-fags are always pushing the envelope to see just how far they have to go before they encounter resistance. They will then concentrate on that resistance with public support for their contrived story of "discrimination" and then use the law and/or courts if they need to.
The church is the last bastion of sanity against them. That's why it is the prime target today.
