The primary issue the Roman Catholic cannot address is their “Sacred Tradition “ is not inspired as Scripture is. The second is the often contradictory positions of the ECFs they draw upon for ST not to mention the contradictory positions with inspired Scripture.

Rome did not incorporate any of these writings in the canon at Trent when Rome formalized its canon. That Rome didn’t is telling.

Sola scriptura means that Scripture alone is authoritative for the faith and practice of the Christian. The Bible is complete, authoritative, and true.

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16).

Everything necessary for salvation and Christian maturity is found in Scripture.

It is the highest authority because it came from God the Holy Spirit and is unchangeable, unlike other sources of authority.
